Dr. Naama Goldberg is a teaching fellow in the PPE program at HUJI, and previously a postdoctoral fellow at the Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics at TAU and at the Cheshin Center for Advanced Legal Studies at HUJI. Her research focuses on the intersection between law, moral philosophy, political philosophy and philosophy of emotions. She is particularly interested in the moral emotions, as well as their place in basic moral responsibility, and in the legal realm of the modern liberal state. Her work on the relationship between luck and justice complements her work on emotions in theorizing about the role of the state in regulating the ungovernable. Naama wrote her doctoral dissertation at NYU School of Law, on the topic of remorse as a consideration in criminal punishment.
