Vanessa Casado-Pérez 

Vanessa is an Associate Professor of Law and Research Associate Professor at Texas A&M School of Law. Prior to her faculty appointment at Texas A&M, she was the Teaching Fellow of the LL.M. Program in Environmental Law & Policy at Stanford Law School. Her research focuses on management of natural resources.   

She graduated first at Universitat Pompeu Fabra Law School ('06) and second at Universitat Pompeu Fabra School of Economics ('08). She also holds LL.M. degrees from Universitat Pompeu Fabra ('08) and University of Chicago Law School ('09).

Maytal Gilboa  

Associate Professor, Bar Ilan Faculty of Law. Maytal teaches and researches in tort law, tort theories, unjust enrichment and remedies. Her work has appeared in journals including Legal Theory and UC Irvine Law Review. 

Dr. Gilboa received her PhD from Tel Aviv University. Prior to joining Bar Ilan University, she was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. Dr. Gilboa holds a BA in Management, LL.B (magna cum laude) and LL.M (as part of the direct PhD program) all from Tel Aviv University. She received various awards for academic achievements, such as the Tel Aviv University President’s scholarship, an Israeli Center of Research Excellence (I-CORE) scholarship, a Zvi Meitar Fellowship for Excellent Achievements, and the Switzerland-Israel Foundation for Advancing Philosophical Research in Israel Scholarship.

Yael Lifshitz  

Associate Professor, Dickson Poon School of Law, King’s College London, member of King's College London's Centre for Climate Law and Governance and Yeoh Tiong Lay Centre for Politics, Philosophy and Law, and a fellow of the Guarini Center on Environmental, Energy and Land Use Law at New York University (NYU) Law School. 

Prof. Lifshitz is a leading voice in energy law and policy, and in property law and theory. Her research explores the diverse set of rules and institutions that govern access to resources, with a particular emphasis on energy governance. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in the University of Toronto Law Journal, the NYU Law Review, Stanford Environmental Law Journal and UCLA Journal of Environmental Law & Policy, among other journals.

Roee Sarel 

Junior Professor of Private Law and Law & Economics at the Institute of Law & Economics, University of Hamburg. Prof. Sarel’s dual-background includes a doctorate in Economics from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and degrees in law and business (LL.B & M.B.A) from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His previous positions include a research associate (post-doc) at the Institute of Law & Economics in Hamburg, a lab manager (post-doc) at the Economics department of the Frankfurt School of Finance, and an associate lawyer at a Litigation & Banking department of Yigal Arnon & Co. law firm. Prof. Sarel’s research combines empirical, experimental, and theoretical methodologies and focuses on topics such as law & technology (e.g. AI, blockchain, and cryptocurrencies), business law, sustainability and climate change, crime, and judicial decision-making.
